Message from the Chair and Vice-Chair
The Task Force on Financial Literacy has completed its public consultations.
Throughout April and May, the Task Force visited every province and territory, and met face-to-face with 175 organizations and individuals in 14 communities across Canada.
From the launch of our consultation document in February, to the close of consultations at the end of May, we received more than 300 submissions, and another 280 comments from Canadians through our online forum.
On behalf of our fellow Task Force members, we would like to thank everyone who responded so enthusiastically in contributing to this ambitious public consultation, by speaking to us about your experiences, your views and your ideas on financial literacy. Your involvement has been essential and your comments will help shape our thinking to build a national strategy to strengthen financial literacy in Canada.
